Fred Astaire & Gene Kelly being there for each other
Gene Kelly’s brother Fred recalled:
“When Gene’s wife Jeannie Coyne died of cancer more than 20 years ago, Gene withdrew from everyone and shut himself up in a back room of his house. One night there came a knock at the kitchen door. When Gene didn’t answer, the caller kept knocking. Finally Gene said, ‘There’s nobody home!’’
“‘I know,’ the visitor called back, ‘that’s why I came to be with you.’ Gene opened the door and there stood Fred Astaire, carrying sodas and sandwiches. The two of them sat together, without saying a word, all that night long.” Fred said.
“Turns out Gene had done the same thing for Astaire when his wife died several years before. They were really very close friends.”
I know it is stupid totally foolish but I was too hurt by some posts claiming Jensen's birthday post for Jared was not very personal or touching like it should have been. You know the 15 yrs friendship was not reflected and all. Some claim they are not as close as they used to be. Please say something to make me feel better. I find very few accounts where there is no hate like yours. I am too heartbroken and sad. So if you can please say or post something to make me fee better.
Hi anon ::cuddles:: Jensen called Jared “brother” which is a testament to what their relationship is, and always will be, family. Jensen moved his family, and life to Jared’s town.They are the only two who know and understand the life that they each lead, juggling work, family and commitments. Whenever the other is in the room, their faces change, and light up. You can’t manufacture that. It isn’t going to change. I am sure that Jensen privately messaged Jared, this was just the Birthday message for the SPN family.
Just watch any J2 panel, and look at Jensen’s face. He loves his boy. (just a tip, make sure you follow the right blogs)
Family cares about you, not what you can do for them family’s there; for the good, bad, all of it. They got your back, even when it hurts. That’s family.
Why can’t chocolate makers just put the flavor on the label? Why the mystery?? Why does it matter if I know in advance whether I’m getting dark chocolate or caramel or some weird coconut flavor? Are they sitting in their offices, chuckling evilly, thinking of all the people they’ve tricked into eating disgusting candies? All the lives they’ve ruined with their twisted games???
wall-e watching the couple in hello, dolly! hold hands as they walk and the camera pans to its wide eyes, brightened by the television reflection. then wall-e opens its claws little by little to fit together, holding its own hand, the last living thing on earth. alone with no one else but itself. and wall-e looks back up at the screen to see if its doing it right. the scene is so heart wrenching i can literally feel the sobs i was suppressing at 11, fighting their way back up my throat right now.
Jensen to Jared: You should feel comfortable, but also try to look decent (x) Jensen and Genevieve’s attempts to make Jared more fashionable over the years have failed! I am sure they are both relieved that the stapled jeans are finally gone though :D
